Counselor Participation Fund

SACAC created the Counselor Participation Fund to provide financial assistance to secondary counselors and college representatives who have little or no budget for attending the association's annual conference.  Some scholarships are also available for attending Summer Seminar, the Sweet Tea Tour, the SAIL Forum, and Dry Run.

Those wishing to apply for assistance should submit an application no later than February 15 of the year of the annual conference (May 1 for all other events). Preference will be given, but not limited to, those who serve traditionally under-represented student populations. Factors affecting awards include the racial and socioeconomic diversity of the population the counselor serves.  You must be a member of SACAC to apply.

Scholarships may be used for travel, accommodations, and registration fees, depending upon the needs of the recipient. In order to be reimbursed, scholarship recipients must submit a SACAC expense report form and original receipts to the SACAC Treasurer within thirty days of the event.
