• Congratulations to Lydianne Merritt, a longtime SACAC member from Houston Academy who will retire at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.  Lydianne writes:

"I am retiring at the end of this year and I just wanted all in NACAC and SACAC to know how truly I will miss the conventions and conferences.  Everyone has always been so nice and willing to share their idea and programs.  I have been involved since 1988 and will highly recommend these two wonderful organizations to my replacement."

• The SACAC Board has been prolific this year:  Two members have welcomed new additions to their families:

Stacy Lightfoot and husband welcomed Dallas Jeffrey Lightfoot on January 30, 2010.

Karen Svetlay and husband welcomed Jane Crawford Svetlay on May 14, 2010.
