The Horizon Award is a $1,000 scholarship which will be awarded to five high school seniors for one-time use at their chosen college or university. As a matching award, a college counselor or Community Based Organization advisor who has been nominated by each chosen student will receive $1,000 to be used towards professional development opportunities. With the support of the SACAC Grants and Fiscal Oversight Committee, the Counselor Participation Fund (CPF) provides financial assistance to SACAC members who have little or no funding to support their attendance at the Annual SACAC Conference or SACAC-sponsored summer professional development programs, Summer Seminar, Sweet Tea Tour, and Dry Run.
