SACAC

SACAC created the counselor scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to secondary counselors and college representatives who have little or no budget for attending the association's annual conference. Some scholarships are also available for attending Summer Seminar.

Those wishing to apply for assistance should submit an application no later than January 1 of the year of the annual conference. Preference will be given, but not limited to, SACAC members who serve traditionally under-represented student populations. Factors affecting awards include the racial and socioeconomic diversity of the population the counselor serves.

If you receive an award from this fund, you must pay the conference registration fee in advance. This fee will be reimbursed after the conference. Scholarships may be used for travel, accommodations, and registration fees, depending upon the needs of the recipient. In order to be reimbursed, scholarship recipients must submit a SACAC expense report form and receipts for the annual conference.
