College Fairs
SACAC Virtual College Fairs will provide an opportunity for students to explore higher education opportunities by meeting with college and university representatives to learn more about admission requirements, financial aid, student life and more. Drive-in Workshops
These college admission counseling workshops are shorter versions of the annual Summer Seminar program but have flexible content depending upon the area or state in which they are held.
Dry Run
This three-day workshop for new college admission officers provides an introduction to the essential elements of the admissions process, including high school visits, interviewing techniques, group presentations, transcripts, and test interpretation.
Legislative Days
SACAC’s State Legislative Days provide an opportunity for members to learn about public policy affecting higher education and the admissions process in their home states and to educate state legislators about SACAC and our profession.
College Admission Workshops
Admission officers and school counselors from throughout the Southeast present information on planning for college admissions at SACAC’s College Admission Workshops. Topics include the college search, making the best use of the next day’s college fair, and the scholarship/financial aid process.
SACAC Leads
The SACAC Leads program is designed to develop informed, committed, and qualified leaders for the organization and the broader profession. SACAC Leads prepares and motivated participants to provide intentional dynamic leadership within the member states.
Summer Seminar
This seminar for secondary school counselors offers a faculty of seasoned professionals who share ideas and present strategies for effective high school counseling
Sweet Tea Tours
SACAC now has two Sweet Tea Tours (each during the month of June) to give secondary counselors the opportunity to tour many campuses in less than a week’s time. The tours rotate throughout the SACAC region so that the locations are different each year. Our tours receive rave reviews each year from participants.
