9:05-10:05 AM Counselor Roles & Relationships
So. . . How do we describe ourselves in our profession? Are we counselors, clients, supervisors, colleagues, friends, acquaintances… Probably when we look at the true meanings of these relationships, we are all of them at some point. This presentation will touch on some of our roles as counselors that may be difficult to determine as well as function as a member of such an interdisciplinary field. Take a breath, know you are holding strength to help others and look forward to a presentation that will also present self-care strategies to reduce burnout in our important roles.
Presenter: Debbie Wells, Mississippi University for Women (PhD - Supervision & Counselor Education; Masters - Community Counseling; Bachelos - Social Work & Religious Education)
