SACAC will be hosting a Coastal Georgia Legislative Day program on Tuesday, May 2 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Savannah Country Day School. We are excited to bring together college admission professionals to train and execute advocacy efforts in a meaningful and rewarding way. Sine Die (or, the last day of Georgia's 40 day legislative session) will occur on April 10, so our May event is designed to prepare participants to introduce ourselves to local Senate and House members in their home offices. Our goal will be to share our educational priorities, our expertise and our personal stories. Lunch will be provided.
We will have guest speakers, brainstorming sessions on advocacy, and opportunities for networking. An official invitation, registration website, & more specific details will be sent out in a few weeks. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Amy Moffatt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you live in the Brunswick - Hinesville - Statesboro - Savannah area or just hope to gain tips on advocating for college access while in a coastal setting, we hope you will consider joining us on May 2!
