SACAC Nominations and Annual Awards
Every year, the Governance and Nominating Committee seeks nominees for President-elect and new Board of Directors members, as well as individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our organization.
To make a nomination or recommendation, please complete a nomination form (see below). Members may also self-nominate by completing a Board Application. In early February, the committee will review all nominees for President-elect, board positions, and awards. The committee will present a slate of officers to the membership at least 30 days before the spring conference. Award recipients will be announced during the conference.
All officers and Board members are elected for three-year terms and are required to attend two Board meetings at the annual conference, a summer Board meeting, and a Board meeting at the NACAC conference each year. Some board members also serve a three-year term as delegates to NACAC Assemblies at the national conference. The President, President-elect, and Past President must also attend NACAC’s Leadership Development Institute each summer and winter.
Award winners will be named at the general membership meeting during the annual conference. Current members of the SACAC Board or the Governance and Nominating Committee are not eligible to receive awards.

Any SACAC member may submit an application for a Board position or President-elect.
Nominations for board members and president-elect positions must be submitted by January 11, 2021. Complete and submit a Board Nomination form on behalf of a fellow member here.
Candidates must apply no later than January 22, 2021. Complete and submit your application here.
Applicants must also submit a signed Statement of Institutional Support form by January 22. In addition, each applicant may have up to two people submit a recommendation by January 22. At least one recommendation is highly recommended.
Any SACAC member may nominate another member for a SACAC award.
