The SACAC Participation Fund (SPF) provides financial assistance to members who have limited financial resources to attend SACAC professional development opportunities. Funding is available for the following professional development opportunities: SACAC Annual Conference, Summer Seminar, Sweet Tea Tour, and Dry Run.
Preference will be given to counselors working in public high schools and community-based organizations as well as those who serve traditionally underrepresented student populations.
Grant funds may be used for registration fees, lodging, transportation (mileage or airfare), ground transportation/parking, and meal allowance, depending upon the needs of the recipient.
SPF Timeline
SThose wishing to apply for funding assistance please view the timeline listed below:
- October 7 - Application available for conference grants
- December 2 - Application deadline for conference grants
- December 12 - Notification to all applicants for conference grants
- February 10 - Application available for Sweet Tea Tour, Summer Seminar, and Dry Run grants
- March 17 - Application deadline for Sweet Tea Tour, Summer Seminar, and Dry Run grants
- End of March - Notification to all applicants
- 30 days after PD event - Reimbursement paperwork & receipts due*
*SPF is a reimbursement grant. Recipients are required to submit original receipts and CPF reimbursement form within 30 days of your event.
