Each year Summer Seminar gathers seasoned professionals from both undergraduate admissions and secondary school college counseling to share “best practices” and address each aspect of a college counselor’s responsibilities. Participants will attend presentations as well as visit college campuses during Summer Seminar.
Who Should Attend? The ideal attendee is a first or second-year college counselor in a high school setting.

Summer Seminar will provide participants time to reflect, share ideas, and ignite their love for the profession. In addition to the robust programming and sessions led by the Summer Seminar Faculty, participants will tour the campuses of Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, and Lipscomb University.
2025 Program Fees: $600 member/$675 non-member
The fee includes:
- all programming
- lodging on the Vanderbilt University campus
- breakfasts and lunches in the Belmont and Vanderbilt dining halls
- transportation to/from the college tours
